Rick and I found it online when we were searching for a place to stay in Davao last month. It is a 10-minute drive from Gaisano Mall of Davao (my favorite mall in the city, by the way) and Aldevinco Shopping Mall– a place that many tourists go to buy souvenirs and trinkets is just a few minute walk away from the hotel.
We got the Junior Suite Room. To me it’s simply defined but the touch of elegance is there. It has a huge bed of course, an en suite bathroom with hot and cold shower, a flat screen TV, a writing desk, a mini fridge, telephone and a single closet. Everything is about perfect, the quiet environment and the accommodating front desk personnel. The only thing that really bothered us during our entire stay is the unavailability of WIFI in our room. I’d say we’ve overlooked it when we were trying to make our booking. Their site says WIFI is available in public areas and we kind of miss that. We had to drag a table outside our room if we are to use the internet which we did pretty much every morning. Good thing we’re on vacation and I didn’t have to drool on my laptop’s screen like what I do most of the time otherwise, I would have had asked Rick to demand for a refund and look for another hotel. Knowing how WIFI matters to most people nowadays; I think the management should look into that aspect.
Rick is however, considering of staying longer next time. I was gonna suggest to book on the same room but I’m afraid we would be in need of more storage lockers to safely keep both our stuffs together and the room we used to have didn’t have it. So we will see where it is going to be next time.
But other than that, the place is livable enough. It’s comfortable and oh they also serve complimentary breakfast during our entire stay. Plus a hot and cold water dispenser is also available at all times at the corridor. If you are on a business trip or on a short vacation like we have had, this place is just about right to be.
