It's Orchard Hotel for the Night

April 14, 2017

It was a long day spent in the city and the restless feet needs a room to stay for the night. Again, we didn't book ahead of time so we had to go around and find one. I don't like going to the same hotel I have already been through. It won't give me anything to blog about.

I'm a frugal traveler so just a clean, a cozy bed, a quiet air condition system and a working bathroom with hot and cold shower would do for me. The other amenities would just come as a bonus. Of course the room rate is always on top of my consideration. We needed two rooms and this time, Orchard Hotel had us the perfect deal.

Orchard is a three-star budget hotel situated along J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City. The structure doesn't give us any spectacular view of the city but it is a reasonable place if all you're there for is to rest your head out and be comfortable. There is no shortcut in going up. You have to take the staircase which is not bad at all.

We took two deluxe rooms. There's nothing much to expect about. The hotel is using the electronic key system. It has a 32-inch flat screen, wall mounted TV, an air condition, a safe, twin lamps, seated on each side of the bed, side tables and one dining table, and a clean bathroom.

I haven't talk that much to any of the staff after checking in but I think the hotel had nice ones. A safe parking area is also commendable.

Overall, it was a good stay. We had our breakfast delivered in our room and we checked out just about an hour before we're supposed to.

Again, when you're in Davao and you'll need a safe place to stay that's just within the downtown area, Orchard Hotel got you covered.
